The dishes have an engraving:
CAT - catechumen oil (Latin oleum catechumenorum). The oil used in the preparation of catechumens for baptism, blessed by the bishop during the Holy Cross Mass on Holy Thursday together with the oil of Chrisma and the oil of the sick.
INF - sick oil (Latin oleum infirmorum) - oil used during the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, blessed by the bishop on Holy Thursday during Mass of the Holy Chrism together with Chrism oil and catechumen oil.
CHR - Chrism (Latin for chrisma) - a mixture of oil and balm, used for anointing the baptisms, confirmation, ordination, episcopal consecration and the consecration of churches and altars.
