What Is a Deacon Stole?

A deacon stole is a liturgical vestment worn by deacons during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Unlike the priest's stole, which is worn crossed over the chest, the deacon's stole is worn diagonally across the body — from the left shoulder to the right hip — symbolizing the yoke of service.

Design and Materials

Our deacon stoles are crafted from the same fine fabrics as our chasubles — silk, brocade, and damask — with hand-embroidered crosses, IHS monograms, and other sacred symbols. Available in all liturgical colors.

Embroidery Options

We offer embroidered deacon stoles with various designs including Marian motifs, saints, Eucharistic symbols, and seasonal patterns. Custom embroidery is available for ordination gifts and special occasions.

Care

Stoles should be dry-cleaned or hand-washed with mild detergent. Store flat or rolled to prevent creasing of the embroidery.
