Pneumatophora icon Our Lady bearing the Holy Spirit

The icon is made with a unique technology that applies the image to wood.

Icon of Our Lady bearing the Holy Spirit. There are also names for her, such as Pneumatophora (“pneuma” means spirit, breath) or Filled with the Holy Spirit, Full of the Spirit, Bride of the Holy Spirit. The original icon was created in the 1980s at the Carmelite Sisters' Workshop in Szczecin. It is the fruit of meditation on the texts of the Bible, the writings of Father Maximilian Kolbe, who called Mary the Image of the Holy Spirit, daily prayer, and the dedication of the Carmelite Sisters of the Convent of Merciful Love in Szczecin.
