What Are Liturgical Cruets?
Liturgical cruets are small vessels used to hold the wine and water that will be consecrated during Mass. They are typically made of glass, crystal, or precious metals and are presented to the priest during the Offertory.
Components of a Cruet Set
- Wine cruet — typically marked with a "V" (vinum) or red indicator
- Water cruet — typically marked with an "A" (aqua) or blue indicator
- Cruet tray — a decorative tray to hold the cruets during the Offertory procession
Materials
Our cruets are available in glass, crystal, brass, and silver-plated finishes. Each set includes matching tray and is designed for dignified liturgical use.
Care
Glass and crystal cruets should be hand-washed with mild detergent and dried immediately to prevent water spots. Metal cruets should be polished regularly to maintain their luster.
