Canopies

The processional canopy is a material cover, embroidered and stiffened. The canopy is used outdoors during the Eucharistic procession. Canopies come in various sizes, have a stiffened top and beautiful quality embroidery. They are most often sold with spars that allow carrying a canopy. The church canopy is made of precious fabrics. On each side of the canopy, a Eucharistic symbol is embroidered, e.g. a dove, a cross, a chalice, a host, angels. The top of the canopy is covered with waterproof material that protects against rain.
