Copal is a resin used for incense production, in medicine, and nowadays, as a natural fixative, in varnish production. In the past, it was considered a cure for burns and head and stomach pains. During incense production it releases an exotic-forest, slightly lemon-like smell. It burns completely, leaving no trace on the charcoal.
