Important Information for Non-EU Customers

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, and other fees imposed by your country. These charges are not included in the product price or shipping cost.

Who Pays Customs Fees?

The recipient (you) is responsible for paying any customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees charged by your country. These fees are collected by the shipping carrier upon delivery or shortly after.

Typical Fees by Region

United States

Important Update: As of August 29, 2025, the US has suspended the $800 de minimis exemption. All shipments to the United States are now subject to customs duties and formal entry requirements, regardless of value.

  • Religious items may still qualify for reduced duty rates under HTS code 9701.90.00 (artworks)
  • Actual duty rates vary by product classification
  • Expect customs processing fees from the carrier
  • Duties are typically collected upon delivery

United Kingdom

  • VAT: 20% on orders over £135
  • Customs duty may apply on orders over £135
  • Royal Mail handling fee: £8-£12

Canada

  • GST/HST: 5-15% depending on province
  • Customs duty varies by product type
  • Brokerage fee may be charged by carrier

Australia

  • GST: 10% on orders over AUD 1,000
  • Low value imports (under AUD 1,000) typically GST-free

What We Include on Your Package

  • Accurate description of contents
  • Declared value equal to your order total
  • HS code (Harmonized System) for customs classification
  • Country of origin: Poland (EU)

Gift Orders

We can mark orders as gifts upon request. Note that marking as "gift" does not automatically exempt from customs duties. The declared value must reflect the actual value of goods. Email us at office@bestcatholicshop.com if you need gift marking.

Refused Deliveries

If you refuse a package due to unexpected customs fees, the package will be returned to us. You will be refunded for the product cost minus return shipping fees and any customs charges we incur.
