Beatification

On December 5, 1965, at the end of the Second Vatican Council, Pope Paul VI proclaimed blessed Father Szarbel Makhlouf. After this time, the monk's tomb was closed again.
Canonization

On October 9, 1977, in the Vatican, Pope Paul VI canonized Father Szarbel. To this day, the tomb of the Saint in Annaja is the destination of numerous pilgrimages from around the world.

Relics

On July 23, 2017, pilgrims from Lebanon during a solemn Mass. they handed over to the Łagiewniki Sanctuary of St. John Paul II in Kraków relics 1st degree Saint. Szarbela - a nineteenth-century hermit and healer - This is the second temple in Kraków where the faithful will be able to pray and ask the mysterious monk for favors for themselves and loved ones.
